Intro & New Features

Based largely off of last season's Konekt skate, Bauer has released a new performance level skate: the Konekt HF2 Goalie Skate. This skate features an Anaform customizable thermoform shell, a HingeFlex cuff, a Thermofoam liner, and Ultralon padding around the ankle to bring together a skate that has a close connection to a ski boot.

Skate Fit Profile

The KONEKT HF2 is designed to form fit around your foot, so all parts are thermoformable from the boot to the liner. It is important to note that the skates are less stiff than the original Konekt skates but they still include various buckles that can be difficult to fit and form when wearing the skate for the first time.

Boot Construction/Stiffness/Level of Play

These skates are tailored for the performance level player, hence the use of materials and technologies in the boot. This boot has an Anaform customizable thermoform shell, which means it can give you that needed protection while also providing impressive support and push on the ice. Additionally, it can form to the foot much easier compared to its predecessor.

Liner/Internal Padding

The KONEKT HF2 skates use a Bauer thermofoam liner along the inside, with added Ultralon padding in the ankle. This foam has amazing shock absorption capabilities, and it is also thermoformable. Ultralon foam does not hold odour well, which means it will help keep you feeling fresher for longer as you play.

Strapping

Unlike conventional skates, the Bauer KONEKT HF2 uses straps, cuffs, and buckles, similar to ski boots. The skates also use HingeFlex technology, which were also present in the original KONEKT skate. HingeFlex is the upper shell cuff of the boot that moves with your ankle when you move. HingeFlex ultimately makes the skate 22% more flexible in the ankle area. The two buckles at the ankles and toe of the foot are built to lock your foot in in a snap, making it quicker and easier than ever to get ready for the game.

The KONEKT HF2 skates come equipped with the LS3G runner.

Graphics

Bauer has been sticking with a black and green colouration for their KONEKT line, and there is no exception with the HF2 skates. The heel is adorned with the Bauer text logo, and their new image logo appears on the heel. The name KONEKT is seen in light grey along the side, and the HF2 branding is also present in the green insole.

Sizes

The Bauer Konekt HF2 Intermediate Goalie Skates come in sizes 1-3 and in regular (R) width.
